Production Artist / Computer Engraving

The Cutting Edge, a leading manufacturer of industrial and commercial product identification is searching for a bright, high-energy individual for a full-time, entry-level position in our computerized engraving department.  This opening was created by an internal promotion, and is IMMEDIATE NEED.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, producing, and finishing high-quality nameplates, legend plates, and overlays. They will also have an opportunity to assist in many of our other manufacturing processes.



The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, wants to be an interactive team member, and is interested in learning new methods and processes. They enjoy working in a changing/growing environment where they can utilize their excellent math skills and eye for good design and craftsmanship.  They posses an exceptional work ethic and are driven to perfection.


Please note this is NOT a design position.



Required:Excellent math skills Microsoft Windows and Office (or equivalent) experience Excellent language skills (English) - spelling, grammar, reading Ability to multi-task and meet changing deadlines Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time Good manual dexterity and eyesight.


Preferred:PC-based computer graphics or CAD knowledge Blueprint reading ability A degree in graphic arts.


Candidates for this position will be subject to knowledge and skill testing, background and reference checks. Wage commensurate with experience, skills and test results, plus benefits and possible OT.
