Production Coordinator/Planner

This position will be responsible for planning the manufacture of electronic and electro-mechanical products in support of customer demand. The planner will coordinate among various groups or organizations to ensure timely customer shipment. This may entail creating a production schedule, working with purchasing, assisting in the release of necessary work orders, and coordinating production support, as well as interfacing with operational departments. Products involved will span a multitude of customers. The individual in this position is expected to be a self-starter and driven to achieve results.



OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Coordinate Production in support of delivery commitments

*Develop and monitor performance metrics as needed (i.e. inventory levels, OTD, etc.)

*Prepare status reports and deliver to management

*Provide communication relative to expected delivery of critical parts

*Communicate expected delivery of critical parts

*Provide product start and output schedules



QUALIFICATIONS:

*A.S. degree and 2-5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

*Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

*Demonstrated computer software proficiencies in: MS Word, Excel, or WIP planning systems

*Extensive knowledge of existing manufacturing processes including: order receipt, production scheduling, ERP, and overall manufacturing issues
