PRODUCTION

 LINE SUPERVISOR

 

Title: Production Line Supervisor (2nd Shift)

 

Location: Edwardsville, IL

Business Unit: Edwardsville Fulfillment Division

Date: 7/11/06

 

PURPOSE

 Plan, direct, coordinate, and control activities of workers engaged in assembly line process.

 

 

EXPECTATIONS

 Communicates with other departments to ensure customer order deadlines are met.

 Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

 Balances all line lead production hours, as well as verification of all analytical date at end of shift.

 Identifies equipment needs and set up lines accordingly.

 Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

 Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions.

 Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

 Performs hourly checks during shift to maintain efficiencies.

 Utilizes the line lead weekly score card in an unbiased, fair and timely manner.

 Mentor and develops line leads.  Shares expertise with others.

 Responsible for enforcing and obtaining all aspects of the line lead function.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES 

 High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Minimum of one year supervisor experience.

 Must possess good communication and people skills.

 Must be organized and able to multi task.

 Must be familiar with production line set up and efficiencies.
