As a Production Manager you will manage Building 6 Scissors Services Team (Operations and Technical). Operations include cutting and forming operations.  Plans, implements, and participates in a variety of cross-functional management functions at plant level.  Responsible for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale for the Focused Factory organization. 

 

DUTIES:

Ensure a safe workplace for all team members

Lead continuous improvement in safety, quality, and delivery

Lead and support multiple shift operations

Ensure system performance to meet quality and delivery requirements

Lead standard work implementation

Create and manage area budget

Monitor and reduce costs associated with production system

Determine and maintain proper staffing levels

Train, coach, and develop team members

Ensure adherence to Genie policies

 

REQUIREMENTS:

? Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in fabrication and/or assembly processes in a lean manufacturing environment

? Proven ability to construct and manage a manufacturing process in accordance with accepted Standard Work Elements, Quality Standards and Systems, JIT practices, and Lean Manufacturing

? Ability to coordinate and prioritize technical, administrative, and production resources to solve root cause issues

? Demonstrated ability to plan and manage annual and monthly budgets

? General knowledge of OSHA/WISHA safety standards and implementation of ergonomic principles

? Proven track record of project management skills

? Strong skill set  using PC and software programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Project

? Ability to work closely with a diverse group of people in a team environment

? Excellent oral and written communication skills

? Demonstrated ability to motivate and train others

? Flexible and able to work extra hours on a daily basis if needed and with short notice as production requires

? Ability to work well under pressure

? 4 Year College Degree in Engineering preferred
