Production Manager/Process Engineer - Bulk Pharmaceuticals

SPI Pharma, the worlds leading supplier of antacid actives and a manufacturer of formulated products for the pharmaceutical, nutritional, and OTC markets, seeks a Production/Process Engineer for it's recently expanded Grand Haven, MI site.  This role is a main driver of process efficiency and improvement, providing key operational support in our bulk ingredient manufacturing facility.

 

Key responsibilities include monitoring process parameters and efficiencies, implementing new and improved processes, updating SOP's, managing projects and process improvement tasks, generating qualification documentation, leading quality initiatives, participating in customer and regulatory audits, troubleshooting operations, and developing training plans.

 

 Selected individual must have excellent organization skills with careful attention to detail, and good communication skills for working closely with operating teams.  Candidates must have willingness/ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and be able to adapt quickly to new situations.  Flexibility in work schedule required to support off-shift process start-ups and production trials.

 

Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is required.  BS degree in engineering or related science preferred.  Experience with granulation or spray drying a plus.
