GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for the manufacturing section of the USCA plant that produces inorganic specialty chemicals

?

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.????? Responsible for all manufacturing sections of the USCA Plant that produces inorganic specialty chemicals on a 24/7 basis.

2.????? Manage, coach and supervise 4 supervisors/lead-men and 20 operators

3.????? Responsible for production, shipping, scheduling, reporting, efficiency improvement and cost control, as well as various management functions related to the safe manufacture of products

4.????? Oversee and coordinate all production activities in accordance with company policies and procedures

5.????? Review production cost to ensure optimized production.

6.????? Utilize Six-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques to maximize throughput.

7.????? Coordinate activities between production and maintenance to ensure equipment performs at highest production level.

8.????? Launches new investment requests and make proposals for capital improvements

9.????? Monitor and guide all efforts to optimize production efficiency, minimize cost, and continuously improve our quality system initiatives.

10.? Manage, initiate and direct the training and development plans of all production related team leaders and operators.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1.????? BS Degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering required

2.????? Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in chemical industry

3.????? Chemical Manufacturing experience required

4.????? Minimum 5 years experience as a front-line production supervisor with proven track record of achievement

5.????? Experience with conventional chemical/metallurgical unit operations and equipment
