Production Manager of Development

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and running our award-winning and innovative production team. From approving project schedules and budgets with Produers to working with our Operations Manager to run cost analysis and usability reports, the Production Manager is vital to the growth, development and efficiency of our production department.. Responsibilities: • Oversee a multidisciplinary, award-winning, and innovative team of interactive designers, programmers, producers, videographers, editors and testers, ensuring that team members fulfill their responsibilities while staying within budget and schedule parameters. • Review and approve project budgets, schedules and resources for all producers and clients. • Work closely with our Account Managers and Producers to define project requirements, develop and document project strategies, identify revenue opportunities, and establish success metrics. • Work closely with our Director of Business Development and Account Managers to identify and implement new business opportunities and allocate resources as necessary for said efforts. • Work closely with our Operations Manager to review, create and manage project audit reports, usability reports, and cost analysis reports for all aspects of production. • Work closely with our Operations Manager and Producers to review and approve all Professional Service Agreements and Statements of Work for existing and new clients. • Develop a production wide project and personnel schedule, oversee and approve change requests, facilitate project meetings, review all project deliverables for quality and accuracy, maintain project documentation, communicate project status, and identify project risk. • May also be required to create project documents such as proposals, specifications documents, and test plans. • Identify, evaluate and schedule technology vendors for potential project solutions. Match marketing/business objectives to appropriate technologies. • Oversee overall look and feel for sites including architecture and navigation, back-end integration and content development. • Evaluate and hire production talent as needed. It is essential that the Production Manager understands ALL aspects of interactive and web development including Flash, ASP, HTML, etc. • Manage, update and hire off our contractor/freelance database as needed. • Manage, update and review our vendor database as needed. • Run weekly production and resource meetings with staff. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years managing simultaneous projects, working with all interactive and web technologies and demonstrating team leadership abilities in a fast-paced agency, marketing, or creative services environment. • Experience working within or providing services to the gaming, film and entertainment industries a must. • Strong understanding of web and related technologies, and the ability to converse effectively about technical issues; hands-on development experience a plus. • Full understanding of Internet/New Media project development process from requirements gathering to release. • Ability to define new interactive tools and opportunities both in and outside the web • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with a variety of personalities and work styles. • Desire to achieve "above and beyond the norm" a MUST. • Strong personnel relationship skills and a pro-customer service attitude a MUST. • Strong background in project scheduling and resource/time estimating, excellent proofreading abilities and basic HTML skills.
