Production Planner/ Scheduler I

Review engineering plans and product specifications to determine material requirements to support manufacturing schedules; provide input to management and interface with sales, production, and maintenance managers to reschedule in case of design changes, labor, and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions; manage and disposition non-conformance work orders; review WIP levels and validate work orders; plan capacity requirements and coordinate production with sales forecasts; may develop specifications for new contract orders; resolve problems of diverse scope; may direct the work of others within the department; work independently with minimal supervision.

 

Qualified candidate will have an advanced knowledge of operating and scheduling procedures and processes; ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment; advanced verbal and written communication skills; Excellent MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.

 

B.S. and 5-7 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Advanced experience using MRP is required, Oracle and Agile systems experience preferred. Experience with interpretation of data processing output preferred. CPIM or APICS Certification preferred.
