SUMMARY: Applies job skills and company internal procedures and policies to complete a wide range of intermediate tasks.  Works on assignments that are routine in nature where some judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.  Normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instruction on new assignments.

 

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.  Generate manufacturing schedule to meet customer requirements.

 

2.  Release shop orders to the floor to meet the master production plan.

 

3.  Assign appropriate serial number series to each shop order.

 

4.  Maintains and closes shop orders for manufacturing.

 

5.  Informs buyers of immediate materials shortages.

 

6.  Responds to request for delivery commitments from sales/customer service within the established guidelines.

 

7.  Assures inventory accuracy by monitoring inventory transactions and inventory reconciliation.

 

8.  File completed shop orders in accordance with Device History Procedure.

 

9.  Work with Customer Service to ensure on time delivery of orders to customers.

 

10. Communicate material or production issues that affect the ability to meet the current production schedule.


11. Manages finished goods inventory to meet agreed-upon customer service requirements.

TRAINING EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Good understanding of MRP, shop floor control, and materials.  Good product knowledge required.  Minimum 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing and materials.  Assertive, accurate, proactive, customer oriented.  Good problem solving skills.
