Title:  Customer Service Order Fulfillment

Located:  Global Headquarters in Marietta GA

Compensation:  $40K to $50K Commensurate with experience

MISSION / SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for functioning as liaison among customers, manufacturing personnel, and sales.  Functions in most cases as the primary contact with the customer.  Manages a variety of accounts, including those with straightforward orders, as well as accounts requiring analyzing of requirements and inventories to determine when action is required.  Position responsible for all activities related to processing customer orders, complaints, and requests through the plant, from initial orders to invoicing of finished goods.  Position also responsible for following up on complaints and arranging for materials to be returned.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

 Acts as central communication point for customers and employer by gathering, coordinating and disseminating relevant information related to customers accounts and orders. Information may be obtained from customers, sales representatives, graphics, transportation, warehouses, and die departments ? then apprises affected departments of changes in account requirements.Ensures customer satisfaction by accurately analyzing customer requirements and providing this information to the appropriate departments.  Supports production and demand planners through updating of inventory files, building contracts in SAP and requesting material numbers.Analyzes customer inventories, compares them to forecasted demand and scheduling constraints.  Based on this information, initiates required action to ensure customer satisfaction as well as efficient production.Tracks and provides data as required on account activity.  This includes, but is not limited to, on-time shipments to customers, account activity reports, sales forecasts, etc.Initiates the introduction of new or revised products into the plant by scheduling new product implementation meetings, requesting new part numbers, and insuring all necessary information and approvals are obtained.Works with appropriate warehouse personnel on order fulfillment, and transportation/logistics staff on delivery of customer orders.Participates in conference calls, and as appropriate, customer location meetings with other GPI personnel.Responsible for detailed order entry resulting in accurate and complete invoicing of all chargeable products or services to the customer.Other duties as assigned.

 

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

?  High school diploma or equivalent required.  An Associate?s or Bachelor?s degree preferred.

?  Minimum 3-5 years experience within manufacturing environment with emphasis in the areas of customer service, sales and marketing, production scheduling, planning, purchasing or material control. 

?  SAP experience/knowledge a plus.
