Summary:

The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible to insure that all jobs and materials handled in the production environment meet customer and postal requirements as specified.  Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Direct mail and/or fulfillment experience preferred.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Responsible for monitoring and tracking quality of products and services produced by our team.  Understanding of general computer skills needed.

 

Conducts inspections of materials in process to insure accurate and correct procedures are being followed in preparation of mail every 15 ? 20 minutes in our Handwork and machine area.  Assist team with production process.

 

Conducts inspections of finished product to insure that mail and material are prepared in accordance with USPS regulations and for accuracy of insertion.

 

Acts as communication person to inform Manager/Supervisor of problems and coordinate corrective measures.  Communication with Management is essential.

Over sees project management & project coordination.  Assists in supervising production team.

 

Works with Production Management to identify, correct and assure quality of products and services.

 

Prepares daily reports regarding work quality, and documentation of problem areas and corrective efforts taken.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees 5 to 30 employees in the handwork processing, directly reports to Shift Supervisor or Manager (depending on department assigned) any job related concerns.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s polices and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
