Production Specialist

Vista Higher Learning is an independent publisher that produces materials exclusively in Spanish and French.  Vista Higher Learning was founded with one mission: to raise the teaching of romance languages to a higher level.  In doing this, the author teams, who are all based in our office, focused on reducing language learning anxiety while providing a challenging and comprehensive, communication-based program.  We are growing steadily and are currently looking for a temporary Production Specialist in our Production department. 

 

Summary of Duties:The Production Specialist is well versed in In-Design. Working directly with pages making type corrections, moving copy around, moving art, adding material and adjusting measurements. Adding entry and making adjustments to templates that exist and in some cases parts of the material exists already typeset and it is a matter of moving things around.Place art, print pages, help track status, etc. Ability to work effectively with internal project manager.Work independently and be detail oriented when it comes to sizes, fonts, measurements, making all requested corrections/changes, etc.

 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor?s Degree and 2 to 4 years of In-Design experience.

Experience in the education market and a background in foreign language a plus.
