Production Superintendent

Leading Poultry processor needs a Production Superintendent with Par-Fried, cooking, batter & breaded poulty processing background. The Production Superintendent manages all aspects of production and provides leadership for employees on specific production shift (i.e. first or second shift).

Responsibilities and Tasks
**Responsible for entire shift operations including oversight for maintenance personnel.
**Assist supervisors with supervising and training production employees.
**Work with all employees to ensure production/yield requirements are met on a daily basis.
**Ensure safety of all employees.
**Work with Quality Assurance Department Personnel to ensure all customer specifications and USDA requirements are met.
**Maximize yields and throughputs.
**Minimize downtime, accidents and turnover.
**Review daily reporting for shifts (i.e. production reports, attendance/staffing report, etc.) as necessary.
**Plan and implement process improvements.
**Actively participate in team meetings.
**Works to build and maintain effective relationships with employees and customers.
**Participates in the development of all employees within designated area.
**Enforce Company policies and procedures.
**Administer corrective action plans or disciplinary action on a consistent basis.
**Other duties as assigned.Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience
**High school diploma or equivalent required.
**At least 3 to 5 years relevant experience in similar production environment; preferably in food industry.
**Previous supervisory/leadership experience strongly preferred
**Previous thermal processing experience strongly preferred.
**Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
**Skilled in use of PC, Windows 95/98/2000, Microsoft applications, Lotus Notes and other in-house applications.
**Demonstrated high level of organizational skills.
**High level of interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skill Levels and Work Experience
**Associates degree or some college course work from an accredited institution preferred.
