Production Superintendent

Candle-lite is a world leader in the candle manufacturing industry located in Leesburg, Ohio.  Candles are supplied to mass merchandiser through the 900,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility.  Leesburg is a small rural community that is located within a one hour drive from Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton, Ohio.

 

The Chosen candidate will utilize Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques, concepts, and methods to drive results. Will be a forward thinking, team player; who will make effective recommendations for change to improve/optimize quality, safety, productivity, and communications.

 

This Shift Superintendent will support and participate in organizational initiatives, communicate goals and objectives to team members and accomplish objectives using approved methods, policies and procedures; will develop skill-sets and job-knowledge with Supervisory and hourly workforce.

 



Qualified candidate must possess and demonstrate the ability to effectively plan, organize and manage multiple and conflicting priorities; coach, problem solve, and motivate.

 



The chosen candidate will be able to apply experience and offer workable solutions; effectively coordinate, communicate, standardize and implement best practices.

 



Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills: working knowledge of computers; the ability to work any shift and overtime as needed.

 



A college degree in related field and four years previous supervisor/managerial experience in a manufacturing environment is a must.
