POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in
production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost
objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product
introduction, equipment efficiency, and material supply. Develops
schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Supervises the
activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the
manufacturing function. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and
oversees the work product. Work is of a technical nature with
decisions made within the limits of general procedures. Relies on
limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs
a variety of complicated tasks. Typically reports to a manager.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures* Knowledge of
basic math* Oral and written communications skills* Understanding of
basic technology of area where assigned* Knowledge of scheduling and
other management systems

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
7 - 10 years of relevant experience

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate or equivalent training, plus additional training
such as that acquired in the first one or two years of technical or
business school

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: *Capable of developing and maintaining a
strong Union / Management relationship *Knowledge of Material
movement within a manufacturing environment *Knowledge of NLMI
tracking *Experience with the loading and unloading of material off
of trailers *Experience in working in a warehouse environment and
inventory controls *Understanding of Standardized work methods
*Ability to Audit and document layered audits Ideal candidate
will have: bachelors degree in business (prod ops) or engineering, 7+
years experience in automotive component facility in supervision, and
union supervision experience. Position is based on first shift, but
successful candidate must be able to work any shift of a continuous
operation. Experience working in a Union Environment
Preferred .Strong Interpersonal skills. Strong Organizational
skills. Capable of Multitasking. Familiarity with production
environment and supervising hourly employees. Working Knowledge of
manufacturing systems and lean preferred.
