Production Supervisor I

Cargill Salt produces, packages and ships salt for the following six major market segment applications:  agricultural, food, water conditioning, industrial, chemical and packaged ice control.  Our Salt Business Unit is looking for a Production Supervisor I.

 

The Production Supervisor I is responsible for daily supervision, safety, engagement, training, efficiencies, projects, and general operational responsibilities for all areas of plant operations. This position's primary responsibility will include boiler, brine field and evaporators.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

50% - Supervision, training, coaching and development of plant employees

20% - Manage and promote safety, food safety, maintenance reliability, best practices

10% - Ensure compliance with all company, State, Federal and environmental guidelines and regulations

10% - Problem solving, troubleshooting

10% - Projects and P&L



Required

Engineering Degree OR equivalent experienceCreates an environment conducive to teamwork; empowers employees; strong interpersonal skillsCustomer Solutions approach2+ years experience in direct Supervision 2+ years of Project Management experienceStrong listening skills; written and verbal communication skills
