Production Supervisor/ME (2006-147)

Hire, train, develop, and motivate production personnel to follow procedures, meet high quality standards, production schedules, and productivity requirements.
Manage the direct labor for the respective cells (performance reviews, training records, vacations, etc)
Define and manage team performance metric and goals for the Cells
Define and implement HC capacity requirements to meet quarterly build plans
Gain sufficient knowledge and familiarity of the products from a process and technical standpoint, as to allow for quick response and resolution of immediate issues involving quality of process
Engage Engineering for technical support of issues that may come up
Learn and become proficient in Datasweep (PL's, VR's, Routes, ECO implementations), Agile (know to to generate ECO's and Deviations), and SAP (material status)
Track and perform regular review of Cell Defect Paretos including RMA DOA rates. Drive the necessary changes to implement improvements.
Ensure MRMA and new FRU fill rates are maintained at 95% or higher level
Work with Cell planners to ensure proper ECO implementations and material back flush
Support material flow through to prevent line-down situations, while maintaining high inventory accuracy level.
Drive continuous improvement projects that provide positive impact to product quality, cost, and build efficiency.
Be part of cross-functional project teams that directly or indirectly support department or company goals

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related fields.
5 years of either supervisory or engineering experience. Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, DFT, and 6 sigma.
Proficient in the use of personal computers to perform daily work. Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs and MRP systems. SAP and Agile experience preferred.
CAD experience is desirable, particularly in regards to 3D modeling programs such as Pro-E.
