Production Supervisor - Machine Shop

Springs Fabrication, Inc. a leader in engineered metal fabrication, is looking for a Quality driven individual searching for an exciting opportunity to be part of a success oriented team of professionals.

Job Summary: Responsible for the direction and supervision of all machine shop and processing functions. Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in fabrication and assembly to meet the goals and objectives of Srings Fabrication, Inc.

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Implement the production schedutle prepared by the planning office.
*Confer with the other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments and recommend and change staffing level of the work unit to ensure maximum productivity to complete project schedule.
*Maintains time and production records and requisitions dies, fixtures and material.
*Make layouts and set up machines, equipment or tooling as required.
*Assume responsibility for production costs and inspect work in progress and finished products for product quality.
*Ensure machinery is both used and maintained in a safe manner per governmental regulations and Springs Fabrication, Inc. policies.
*Train and monitor workers in safe manufacturing practices.
*Interview candidates for employment, make hiring decisions, write reviews and administer corrective disciplinary actions.

Qualifications:
CNC and manual machining experience required. Horizontal Boring Mills and VTL experience helpful. Associates degree or equivalent, or one to two years related experience and/or training. Two to three years of supervisory experience preferred. Safety knowledge and good communication skills necessary.
