The 3rd Shift Production Team Leader at our South SanFrancisco, California facility supervises production and sanitation associates where the work is of a semi-skilled to skilled nature. Responsible to plan, layout and regulate flow of work; analyze and diagnose production problems and machine malfunctions; expedite and coordinate corrective procedures to prevent excessive downtime and waste.

The responsibilities include:
o Supervise production and sanitation associates.
o Maintains a workforce in accordance with skill requirements, schedules, and man-hour training programs.
o Coordinates communications, vacation schedules, job training for new hires, job evaluation; employee appraisal and wage administration.
o Responsible for planning and regulating the flow of work.
o Uses judgment to provide information and collaborate with the production support department.
o Maintains Master Sanitation Schedule and ensure facility condition meets standards.
o Meet product specifications (i.e. weight, temperature, etc.) set by quality assurance.
o Coordinates quality control activities related to work in process.
o Keep labor, materials, and waste within company standards.
o Maintains work simplification, cost reduction, new equipment and methods, man-hour planning, scheduling.
o Monitors use of safety devices and equipment, general housekeeping and maintain a constant alert for hazardous conditions and practices.
o Coordinates with Human Resources concerning rule violation warnings and administer approved disciplinary measures when necessary.
o Participates in employee relations' policies and programs.
o Performs other similar and associated duties necessary as assigned by a superior or as responsibilities necessitate.

The knowledge, skills and experience needed are:
o Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing plant, food processing experience is a plus.
o Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality and cost control.
o Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
o Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing methods and techniques.
o Demonstrated leadership skills including team building and conflict resolution.
o Proven supervisory experience, including planning work, training, and work direction and performance appraisals.
o Possesses, persuasiveness, and motivational skills.
o Possesses effective written and oral communication skills.
o Possesses computer skills to record data and prepare reports; specifically Word and Excel.
