Production shift Manager

 

 

Job Description

 

 

 

Position: Second Shift Manager

Reports to: Production Manager

 

Essential duties and responsibilities to include but are no limited to:

 

? Supervision and evaluation of group associates including Line Assemblers, Operators and Line Leads and Technical Operators.

? Ensure that supporting groups are in alignment with Production (i.e. lab, compounding, qc, warehouse, and material handling).

? Schedule group employees to support production requirements.

? Utilizing on-site Temporary agency and Human Resources to determine appropriate staffing levels and assign workflow to assure full utilization of resources including hiring and performance reviews, pay planning, transfers and terminations.

? Responsible for Shift/Group production start-up process.

? Coordinate production among all shifts.

? Ensure that work effort, which has been scheduled, is accomplished on time and consistent with quality requirements.

? Ensure GMP and Work Order compliance.

? Verify Work Order reconciliation.

? Enforce quality standards.

? Evaluate rejects and NCR?s.

? Control re-works.

? Responsible for Labor Reporting and analysis.

? Ensure that work orders are running in accordance with all production specifications.

? Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

? Reassign employees to production lines as needed.

? Ensure final disposition of finished goods in accordance with Thibiant?s Quality Acceptable Levels.

? Monitor employee and machinery efficiencies on a daily basis.

? Track group attendance record on a daily basis and inform manager of any employee not meeting attendance requirements.

? Responsible for group attendance reconciliation.

? Implement departmental procedures (SOP).

? Work with machine maintenance and quality assurance staff in order to identify and troubleshoot production problems.

? Advise Production Manager of any issue, which may adversely effect employee/employer relations.

? Responsible for the training of new associates.

? Identify process improvement opportunities.

? Other responsibilities as assigned by the Production Manager.

Requirements include:

 

 

? Preferable College degree and/or High School education with hands-on manufacturing experience acting as a Production Leader.

? Strong Computer skills.

? Strong Mathematical skills including basic statistical knowledge.

? Possess good product knowledge.

? Posses a good working knowledge of all facets of manufacturing operations.

? Flexibility to work special schedules as required to satisfy job requirements

? Demonstrated ability to follow through on project assignments.

? Good Team building skills.

? Demonstrated leadership skills.

? Excellent attendance record.

? Ability to work with minimum supervision.

? Good English communication skills.
