Project Engineers

Airlite Plastics Co. is an ISO 9001:2000 Registered 2003 Edgerton Award Winning, plastic injection molding company specializing in plastic food packaging, polystyrene coolers, ICF building blocks and other customized plastic products.

Airlite Plastics has outgrown two manufacturing facilities and is currently expanding its newest state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to accommodate additional growth.

 

Airlite started with 20 employees in 1959 and has grown to over 650 employees today.  We have grown from molding 40,000 pounds of raw resin per month in 1959 to over 4 million pounds per month today.  Since 1996, Airlite's workforce has grown over 35%  This consistent growth hinges heavily on our ability to meet rapidly expanding customer needs.  This pursuit of progress has distinguished Airlite's history and shapes its vision for the future.

 

Currently, we have a need for three (3) Project Engineers.  One engineer will need to have a background of electrical mechanical 'hands-on' experience, one will require exposure to facilities and/or plant engineering.  We are also looking for an engineer that will be interested in 2nd shift.

 

Additionally, you will:

 Plan, organize and coordinate all phases of assigned project work.Direct and coordinate activities involved in their fabrication, operation, applications, installation and repair.Provide technical support for new product development and testing.Evaluate performance and functionality of packaging in automated equipment and recommend design changes to improve quality, run efficiencies and customer satisfaction.Provide support for field service engineering area as needed.Design, manufactures and installs changeover parts for packaging equipment.

 

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years successful engineering experience is preferred.
