A Purchasing Analyst's responsibilities include: procuring all components necessary for production, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and consistently balancing cost reduction with inventory control. As a key member of the Materials team, the Purchasing Analyst works closely with the Business Planner to ensure that the needs of both internal and external customers are met. A Purchasing Analyst has many opportunities to work on special projects, develop professional contacts and receive specialized training. A person who possesses strong interpersonal skills, excellent time management, leadership, negotiation abilities, analytical skills, and a high energy level is perfect for this position. This position offers variety, challenge, excitement, and great potential for growth within Stryker.Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent.. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to manage priorities and workflow. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Proficient on basic computer programs Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proven leadership and business acumen skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
