Purchasing Assistant

Dale and Thomas Popcorn, is a privately held company, which manufactures America?s first line of farm fresh?chef crafted--premium popcorn products.? Based in Englewood, New Jersey we sell through the retail, direct, and wholesale channels.? In addition to the premium Dale and Thomas Popcorn brand, we recently introduced Popcorn, Indiana? a wholesale, premium, kettle corn line sold at supermarkets, chain stores and boutiques throughout the country.??

Founded and run by successful entrepreneurs, we are experiencing tremendous growth and are looking for an experienced Purchasing Assistant.? Key Accountabilities:?Generate and transmit purchase orders through our MRP system. Search out alternate suppliers when appropriate to meet business demands. Update and maintain order points based on forecast and history.? Participate in Cross-Functional training with other departments including inventory, scheduling and logistics.

Job Requirements

?College Education and professional experience of 5+ years.Strong negotiating skills, with working knowledge of specific subject terminology particularly useful, (i.e.) packaging materials, food based raw materials and supplies.Prior experience working with MRP/ERP and WHM SystemsExperience?with process receiving system transactions.Excellent communication skills with particular emphasis in purchasing terms and conditions. Self-motivated, organized and attention to detail with ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and excellent time management skillsExceptional customer service skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.??
