Purchasing Category Manager

Description: The Judge Group Inc. is currently in search for a Purchasing Category Manager for a premier broadline food service marketing group located in Idaho. The purpose of this position is to increase sales and gross margins through skillful negotiation of preferred and approved supplier agreements and by careful management of preferred supplier relationships.  In addition, this person is responsible for assisting, when necessary, the timely and accurate collection of all monies owed, assuring all preferred suppliers are satisfied and assuring all supplier members adhere closely to all terms of supplier agreements. Requirements:

The qualified candidate for the Purchasing Category Manager MUST HAVE a minimum of 5 years experience within a food service environment, specifically with procurement/purchasing management. Candidates with experience in dry or canned goods category management will receive first consideration, however other categories will be considered as well. The candidate(s) MUST HAVE experience in contract negotiations, supplier recruitment, assisting sales, food shows, and pricing. Candidates living within Idaho will get first consideration for the position, however there is relocation assistance provided for well qualified candidates.
