Purchasing/Customer Service Manager

Beach Mold and Tool, Inc., a consumer market plastics injection molder located in Emporia Virginia is seeking a highly motivated Purchasing/Customer Service Manager.

 

This is a leadership position that will require an individual to lead, manage, and train a small customer service department, while scheduling the molding department consisting of 26 machines.

Experience/Skills

 

?  Must have at least 5 to 7 years manufacturing purchasing experience

?  Excellent written and oral communication skills

?  Prior experience with dealing with International suppliers is a must

?  Strong negotiation skills

?  Strong time management and organizational skills

?  Fluent in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point

?  Knowledge of AS400/JDE Software a plus.

?  Bachelors Degree or CPM in Purchasing, Management, or related field is a plus

 

Essential Job Functions

 

? Assist in the sourcing and qualification of suppliers

? Perform selected audits under ISO/TS-16949 guidelines

? Assist in the coordination of quotes

? Monitor levels of inventory to include purchase components, fasteners, and packing supplies, mold shop WIP product etc.

? Learn to analyze market conditions to determine best source of procurement and negotiate price and delivery specifications

? Assist in the review or requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy and conformance with established guidelines.

? Schedule mold shop for all both shifts

? Negotiate better pricing, contracts, and stocking agreements with existing suppliers

? Interface with corporate procurement
