Fast paced, growing company seeking a Purchasing Manager who will be responsible to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of all raw ingredients, packaging and freight. The excellent applicant will have demonstrated the ability to apply creative purchasing techniques. The Purchasing Manager has an excellent relationship with vendors, ensuring timely delivery and within established specifications. The Purchasing Manager will set inventory goals and measure performance to budget twice monthly, as well as set savings goals and works towards reduction or liquidation of over produced product. The Purchasing Manager will have experience and understanding of contracts. An effective applicant will have proven leadership, supervisory experience and embraces a team environment. 

Preference may be given to a background and understanding of organic and kosher ingredients.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in large-scale purchasing and/or supply chain management, to include one year of actual buying in an established procurement operation. ORA Bachelor?s degree in Public or Business Administration, Marketing, or a relate field, and three year?s experience in an established procurement operation; ORAn equivalent combination of related training, education and experience.

 

Preferred: Must have APICS, CPIM and/or NAPM, APP certifications

Important: The successful applicant will have strong PC experience as well as an MRP system.
