Purchasing / Materials Manager

Manufacturer of wheelchair accessible minivans is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory for all production components required for manufacturing needs. 

 

This position will be responsible for the following duties:
* Purchasing all raw materials by obtaining pricing and delivery schedule; preparing and forwarding purchase orders to accounting.

* Sustaining competitive product pricing by negotiating material costs; discovering new sources.
* Maintaining optimum inventory levels.

* Subcontracting all work needed in manufacturing needs.

* Purchasing all supplies required for production department.

* Creating work orders for fabrication department

 

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

* Experience in Materials Management within a manufacturing environment

* Exceptional organizational skills

* Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures
