QA/QC Manager

Fabricating and Machine Job Shop is looking for an innovative, forward-thinking, confident Quality Control Manager, with a solid quality control background, who is enthusiastic about being an integral part of our management team.  This position reports directly to the VP/GM.

 

Job Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of Quality Control in Asme pressure vessel  fabrication facility.

- Manage company adherence to Quality Control Manual and A.S.M.E. codes.

- Interface with authorized inspectors

- Interface with customer inspectors

- Liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing and Machine Shop

- Review Engineering releases for adherence to applicable customer specifications.

- Write QC procedures, welding procedures, welders certifications

- Supervise inspector's  tasks relating to daily operations of engineering release, file maintenance of MTR's, documents for jobs, welders continuity, inspection of equipment, all NDE functions, serial and national board number issuance, AI inspection points and creation of U1A Data reports for registration

 

Job Requirements:

- 10 years experience with A.S.M.E. code and pressure vessel fabrication

- Experience in Carbon & Stainless welding procedures as relating to A.S.M.E.

- Strong analytical skills

- Must be able to work independently, self starter and motivated

- Literate in basic computer skills

- Must be able to apply knowledge to day to day operations and search for process improvements

- Excellent written and oral skills

- Certifications relating to A.S.M.E. code, welding, inspection, and industrial coatings a plus
