QC Developmental scientist

This opening is located in Austin, TX



Key Duties:



 • Designs and performs experiments, testing several variables in order to identify and correct root cause problems associated with technology assessment/development/improvement, quality control or manufacturing complaints/concerns/improvements • Independently designs and/or troubleshoots experiments to protocols • Rapidly identifies problems and proposes corrective action • Reads scientific papers and poses improvements to protocols • Becomes knowledgeable and /or stays current in specific fields of scientific literature • Presents and defends assessments, process improvements and conclusions • Compliant with ISO documentation requirements • Assists in preparing quality control documents • Involved in the transfer and development of new products • Communicates effectively with other personnel • Other duties as assigned



 



Minimum Requirements:



• Has advanced molecular biology experience and skills • BS, MS, or PhD • Mimimum of 4 years lab experience with a Bachelor’s degree • Minimum of 2 years lab experience with a Master’s degree • Sets example for demonstrating excellence • Shows initiative by taking on new tasks beyond what is generally expected • Delegates judiciously without abdicating responsibility • Inspires and co-ordinates direct reports to achieve specific goals • Shares and gives credit and recognition
