Quality Assurance Food Technologist

Mrs. Clark?s Foods, a leading food manufacturer has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Quality Assurance Food Technologist.

 

As QA Food Technologist you will assist the QA Director to insure quality plans are in place to meet regulatory, customer, and company quality/food safety requirements by serving as a quality systems developer and internal auditor. 

 

Responsibilities will include:  Support and coordinate the internal audit activities of the manufacturing process which monitors quality and food safety systems.  Serve as a technical resource and team member in planning quality systems and procedures to assure the quality characteristics for new and existing product lines.  Train others to use and support implementation of the developed quality systems and standards, auditing, quality tools and other topics as appropriate.  Function as an auditor on internal and supplier audit activities.  Support efforts by developing and maintaining production and lab testing procedures, including kosher and allergen programs.  Communicate on a professional level internally and with customers, providing service and solutions to their needs.  Responsible for procedures relating to scale-up of development product:  manufacturing guidelines, development of ingredient statements, change management procedures, etc.  Basic knowledge of USFDA label requirements is necessary.

 

Qualified applicants must possess a bachelor?s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, and/or related field.  A minimum of 2 years experience in FDA regulated food processing environment with a good working knowledge of GMP?s and HACCP programs.
