Job Summary:

 

The main function of this position is to perform duties required to support the Quality Assurance Department. Duties include performing internal audits required by ISO/TS16949 and other duties assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

- Auditing the standard requirements, per the TS16949 Audit Schedule

- Use a process approach when conducting audits for the purpose of improving customer satisfaction

- Preparing the Audit Report and Audit Report Summary

- Conduct follow up audits and closeout verification

- Prepare formats for a variety of quality performance charts, graphs and reports

- Initiate root cause/corrective actions and systems to ensure compliance to quality requirements

- Perform special projects and assignments in support of the department or facility as defined by Quality Supervisor

- Assist in maintaining the quality system and quality manual

- Ability to interpret complex drawings, engineering specs and standards

- Create color standards for custom color parts after customer approval using the Spectrophotometer

- Perform laboratory testing, as required such as Specific Gravity, Shore Hardness, Compression Set, Accelerated Heat Aged, Adhesive Pull Test, Tensile and Elongation, as directed

- Perform closeout verification on Customer Complaint Reports and Corrective and Preventive Action Requests

 

Required Skills and Attributes:

 

- Trained in ISO 9001 internal auditing required; trained in ISO/TS16949 internal auditing preferred

- Competent in conducting internal audits

- Good analytical skills.

- Good written and verbal communications skills

- Trained in Six Sigma method, preferred

- BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience

- Must have organizational, analytical and planning skills

- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization, customers and vendors.

- Must work effectively, independently and as a team member. 

- Show initiative in problem solving. 

- Knowledgeable with Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint and other MS based Office Products.

- Mini Tab, Chart Runner or other quality software knowledge preferred
