Otto & Sons -? an OSI Group Company,located in the suburb of West Chicago, ?is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor who will ensure that all products are processed and stored following food safety, quality and customer guidelines on a daily basis.
MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
?? Review daily line QA sheets for accuracy and completeness.
?? Summarize reports.
?? Supervise and train QA technicians and plant personnel.
?? Evaluate product on hold, maintain the hold log and document disposition of product.
?? Investigate quality complaints and document corrective action.
?? Gather lab samples for micro and chemical analysis.
?? Record and analyze results from micro and chemical analysis.
?? Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are followed.
?? Ensure HACCP plan checks are completed in a timely manner.
?? Provide technical assistance to various departments.
?? Ensure equipment is maintained and in stock.
?? Date entry and analysis, including interpretation.
?? Remain aware of USDA issues, Nonconformance Ratings and various concerns within the plant.
?? Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
?? Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
?
?? 1-3 years of work experience in a food manufacturing facility in a quality control/food safety role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
?? Knowledge of food safety regulations and GMP's.
?? Proven leadership qualities that can be verified through past work experience, education or community involvement.
?? Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology or related field required.
