Job Title: SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER

Functional Responsibility:
To supervise, develop and improve all quality department requirements for manufacturing and distribution activities for the company 
Purpose:
To ensure that the quality system is maintained in line with TS16949 and quality objectives are met to support the company  business goals.

Reporting To:
Technical Manager

Key Activities:
1. Manufacturing quality.
2. Supplier development.
3. Customer care development.
4. Customer liaison on all quality related issues.
5. Internal auditing.
 6. Gauge control.
7. Cost of quality system development and maintenance.
8. New product support.
9. Customer returns.
10. Customer satisfaction program.
11. Quality initiatives to support continuous improvement through lean mfg. and Six Sigma.
12. Provide basic human resources services where applicable to include: effective training, interviewing, approving vacations, completing performance appraisals, conducting discipline sessions & performance reviews and personnel development.

Key Result Areas:
1. Internal PPM goals.
2. External PPM goals.
3. Customer care goals.
4. Six Sigma practices implemented company wide.

Job Title: SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

Summery:

Position Purpose The candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of quality methods and systems. The SQE is responsible for implementation and execution of methods and programs to ensure that suppliers have systems that meet specifications and standards. This position is responsible for planning and executing activities concerned with supplier development and corrective action. These activities include data-driven analysis and problem solving of quality issues to improve the performance of the supply base.
Essential Functions:

1. Appropriately use quality tools that apply to the product and suppliers assigned. Quality Engineering tools such as contract review, sampling plans, auditing principals, SPC, MSA, First Articles, FMEA, PFMEA, calibration systems, etc. to understand and ultimately resolve issues in the supply base.
2. Understanding of the relevant product or customer specifications, flow-down documents, procedures, engineering or process drawings and regulating agent body requirements that apply to the products and suppliers assigned.
3. Works effectively with suppliers to resolve problems using Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) tools.
4.Trains and mentors suppliers on company flow-down requirements.
5. Utilizes available data to establish schedules and perform required audits of assigned suppliers.
6. Maintains accurate and current supplier quality records such as supplier audits, certifications, corrective action responses and database screens.
7.Executes established Quality plan for assigned suppliers based upon:Type and complexity of product being procured Quality history of supplier Requirements placed upon items Level of supplier's demonstrated process control
