Job Summary:

 

Inspects and samples all production in various stages of work.  Compares work with standards  and brings variations to the attention of the Production Manger.  Has authority to stop production on any job not being produced according to specifications.

 

Qualified candidates must posses the following attributes:

 Attention to detail skills.3 to 5 years Quality Control experience.Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs.Previous printing experience preferred.

 

Job Duties/Requirements:

 Assists Quality Manager in inspecting and sampling all production in various stages of work.Manages ?end of roll? quality strips, maintains quality boards, first article and final inspection activities.Verify that ISO procedures are being followed.  Document any non-conformity into computer database.Initiates corrective actions and notifies employees of necessary tasks.Spot check work being produced in the pressroom, bindery and prepress.Periodically perform Internal Quality Audits.Follow through on jobs in plant, which have special standards and specifications. 

 

This is an hourly position that reports to the Quality Manager.
