This position is responsible for testing ingredients and final products to meet USDA and Merial specifications. Testing follows Quality Control department standard operating procedures, methods, and guidelines. Responsibilities of the position include potency and identity testing of final products and in process samples to ensure product meets USDA regulated standards. Other responsibilities include maintaining precise and accurate records of testing performed. Data and document management includes assisting in monitoring testing trends with Control Charts,and validation/inventory of control reference material. This position can initiate new control validation programs and studies. Assists other technicians as needed providing leadership, trouble shooting testing problems, or assisting as a backup for lab work. Weekend and Holiday work may be required.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Biology or science related field and 1 year applicable experience in biological field or 5 years in specifically related experience.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Some knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Ability to implement operational procedures for non-routine processes.
- Ability to assist in analytical transfers.
- Ability to train others and lead projects.
- Self motivated, takes initiative, organized, and detail oriented.
