Quality Control Technician

Fujimi Corporation, a manufacturer of precision abrasive materials and surface finishing technology located in Tualatin, Oregon is seeking a Quality Control Technician. The position is responsible for providing technical support and must take the lead in teams participating in the investigation of production related quality issues. This includes initiate root cause/corrective actions and systems to ensure compliance to customer quality requirements.  Other duties are the day-to-day completion of work assignments related to laboratory testing and the quality control of work performed by other laboratory technicians. Duties include the development of laboratory procedures and the training and documentation processes to support the quality control functions of the laboratory. Leadership, listening and team building skills are essential in this position as well as reliability and work ethic.  Candidate must have a BA/BS in chemistry, engineering, materials, or other science-related degree required with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quality related functions.  Experience in developing quality programs, high volume manufacturing, lean manufacturing and ISO certification & compliance requirements.  Skill in developing and implementing effective process controls, a  solid understanding of quality engineering principles, practices and procedures including SPC and process control, DOE, FMEA, Gage R&R, Quality systems.  Proficiency with software packages (MS Office, MS Project, Statistica/JMP).  Effective communication and technical writing skills are required.  Please send resumes to ctuttle@fujimico.com or fax to (503) 972-9503.
