Quality Inspector-Manufacturing (Oilfield related)

Summary: 

 

Inspects precision machined parts to drawings and specifications per customer requirements.  Must be able to interpret GD&T symbols, have good math skills, and a machine shop background of 3 to 5 years experience. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

?Performs first article inspection, in process, and final inspections to customer drawings and specifications.

?  Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards.

Education/Experience:

 



High school or equivalent.

 

Language Ability:

 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret CAD Drawings, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Math Ability:

 

Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.

 

Reasoning Ability:

 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Computer Skills:

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Manufacturing software, Design software and Database software.
