Job Description

Major Responsibilities:
*Responsibility to drive a SYSTEM OF LEAN six sigma principles, practices and techniques supported by rigorous use of six-sigma tools across the corporation.
*Assist business unit leadership in the planning development, coordination, support, and execution of high impact (immediate and long term) improvement plans for effective and sustainable cost saving initiatives.
*Lead various projects and participate on teams implementing LEAN & six-sigma improvement projects.
*Utilize Project Management Methodology to manage & execute projects.
*Institutionalize LEAN methodologies by establishing and managing process metrics, and data analysis.
*Develop approaches for measuring performance against customer requirements on a regular basis.
*Analyze data using six-sigma tools and prepare recommendations and reports to drive high-impact process improvement efforts.
*Provide direction, consultation, and hands-on support to all business units and existing green belts to successfully drive LEAN and six sigma.
*Develop and deliver effective training & instruction material to train the business unit leadership and green belts in LEAN & six-sigma principles, building on existing six-sigma tools/practices/culture.
*Be a thought leader and a change agent, and lead initiatives that will enable the organization to reach the next level of world class operations by implementing LEAN six sigma practices throughout the corporation (manufacturing and non-manufacturing).

Minimum Requirements:
*BS/BA degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited college or university. Advanced degree preferred.
*5+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing and Six-Sigma driven environment (Processing industry preferred).
*3-5 years experience leading projects as a Black Belt/Master Black Belt.
*Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of successful LEAN implementation through creation and deployment of a lean process system throughout all functional areas. Lean implementation experience must include Kaizen project identification, prioritization and execution, with tangible and sustained results affecting bottom line.
*Hands-on knowledge of professional PC software such as MS Excel, Project & Visio, and Six-Sigma/statistical software such as Minitab/JMP etc.
*Outstanding leadership, communication, presentation, training, team facilitation, and interpersonal capability, combined with an ability to work cross functionally and across all levels and divisions of the organization.
*Self-directed, team player with sound negotiation and problem solving skills.
*Strong quantitative, analytical and Process Redesign skills and out of the box" thinker.
*Proven understanding of business processes.
*Excellent project management experience.
*Willingness to travel extensively (~80%).
*Ability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machines and photocopier
*Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Preferred Qualifications:
*Six-Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification preferred.

Criteria/Conditions(specific background and skills):
* Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
* Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
* Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
* Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
