Quality Manager

Hexcel is looking for a qualified individual to lead our lean, dynamic quality organization at our Salt Lake City, Utah manufacturing facility. This key position requires the skills and commitment to effectively manage quality systems and improvement within each operation. The successful candidate must have a proven knowledge of quality improvement techniques, quality systems, and the personal skills to operate at all levels of the organization.

 

The candidate must be able to manage problem-solving activities through the introduction of the appropriate tools and techniques. The candidate will be responsible for focusing the entire organization on improving customer satisfaction and developing the plans to achieve it.  Similarly, a deep understanding of quality planning tools is required as is the essential ability to identify and apply the most appropriate ones.

 

This role will work closely with others in the organization to coordinate quality improvement strategies and align best practices. Specific knowledge and application of analytical problem solving tools, improvement techniques (such as Six Sigma) and quality planning techniques are necessary.

 

A Bachelors of Science degree in engineering or related technical discipline as well as demonstrated experience in quality management in a customer focused industrial/manufacturing environment is required.  The ideal candidate will also be experienced in statistical techniques for process control, data analysis, ISO9000 / AS100, SPC tools & methodologies; proven leadership & management skills with strong facilitation and communication skills (verbal and written).
