R&D Process Operator 3rd shift:

Selected individual will be responsible for assisting with the execution of cell processing experiments and executing general R&D lab work.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

? Assist in running solar cell experiments on processing equipment in R&D and production.

? Operates cell processing equipment in R&D lab independently.

? Identifies yield problems.

? Interfaces with production to coordinate cell processing steps.

? Gather and maintains data generated by experiments conducted by the R&D technical staff.

? Performs independently various measurements on solar cells: IV, lifetime, LBIC, contact resistance, ellipsometer, profiling.

? Ability to work with the following processes: diffusion, chemical etching, screen printing, firing, wafer dicing.

? Build lots of wafers for processing.

? Package, ship wafers to, and receive wafers from external collaborators.

 Skills and Experience:Qualified candidates must have a H.S. Diploma and 2-5 years experience working as a machine operator is required.  Experience working in a semiconductor industry, preferred.Able to perform repetitive tasks with a high attention to detail.  A background in the technical fields of chemical or physical engineering is strongly preferred.Familiar with at least 2 of the following technologies: dopant diffusion, wet etching, screen printing, IR, firing, wafer dicing, hi-vac processing, CVD, RIE.
