Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings is the 'first in technology' supplier for innovative paint and coatings systems to the aerospace industry - and has been for 75 years.  Headquartered in Waukegan, Illinois we have the following opportunity for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist.

 

Key Functions for this position are:Develop and maintain compliant MSDS templates for chemical products; Prepare reports for State/Federal agencies; i.e., TSCA, PMN's, etc. Manage product and raw material information and registration system for foreign and domestic requirements for labeling, health, safety and environmental information; Interpret/implement regulatory issues for domestic/international compliance; Develop/maintain global database for label content for products shipped worldwide; Evaluate new formulations to assure compliance to TSCA; Obtain registration for products/materials used outside of U.S.; Prepare NAFTA certificates

 

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:Bachelor degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent experience in an industrial management position Minimum 3 years of experience in an industry position involving HSE Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read/understand/interpret technical material
