The individual selected for this position would supervise the maintenance activities in a production environment within the guidelines established by plant and corporate policy in a safe, efficient and quality manner. Key results for this position include monitoring production lines to assess downtime, productivity, quality, safety, labor relations and adjusting daily variables to achieve productivity goals and objectives. Essential functions of this position include: leading and developing maintenance team, developing and maintaining team training in safety, Good Manufacturing Procedures and product quality, monitoring and explaining financial budgets and identifying/implementing cost savings projects.
Skill requirements include a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field. The applicant must have strong leadership skills with the proven ability to set a vision, manage change, develop personnel and strategically plan for continuous improvement of human resources. Hands on mechanical experience desired, as will as knowledge of Statistical Process Control, TQM, Allen Bradley PLCs and basic programming skills. The successful candidate must also have demonstrated knowledge of accepted manufacturing & maintenance practices, quality assurance procedures/guidelines and proactive safety awareness/compliance. Strong oral and written communications skills, planning and problem solving skills, leadership and team development skills are a must. The selected candidate must be able to work any shift and daily and weekend overtime.
