S.C. Operations Manager

Job Synopsis:

Position Summary
Manages labor, material and equipment resources in support of assigned project teams. Monitors and is accountable for the overall assigned product lines performance and development. Takes action to ensure facility is maintained to organizational standards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
1. As resource specialist, provide leadership and development for assigned team members.
2. Administer corporate and personnel policies and procedures. Appraise performance of subordinates, provide feedback and develop action plans that support team member development.
3. Manage a continuous safety program in areas assigned to include personnel, equipment, operations and general overall housekeeping.
4. Ensures that sufficient resources are budgeted and available for scheduled projects using both internal and external resources.
5. Ensure financial results meet or exceed budget requirements consistent with Schedule B's.
6. Maintain a current general working knowledge of technical data and updates, vendor information and all other procedures, and publications pertaining to assigned product lines.
7. Works closely with the marketing group to provide updates on service opportunities for managed product lines that will advantage the sales group over the competition.
8. Conducts regular audits of product line performance and provides input for project schedule improvements that keep product line competitive.
9. Maintain compliance with Gulfstream Repair Station IPM, SOP s and FAA Airworthiness Standards as applicable.

Additional Functions:
1. Conduct periodic on-site 5S and safety audits.
2. Occasional travel will be required.
3. Manage weekend and holiday rotation schedule for managers and supervisors.
4. Acts in capacity of trainer for various business and technical events as required.
5. Assists in the maintenance and clean-up of Accounts Receivables and outstanding cores.
6. Monitors business processes and works as change agent in incorporate improvements.
7. Participate as a team member on company management projects.


Prerequisites
o Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience. Bachelors degree preferred.
o Airframe and Powerplant certificate preferred.
o Eight years (8) years aircraft maintenance experience and technical training, to include four (4) years on Gulfstream or other heavy corporate aircraft preferably in a service center sized environment.
o Five (5) years of related supervisory experience.
o Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, IPC's, ASC's, CB's, AD's, CMP cards, engineering orders, and blueprints.
o Ability to effectively plan, organize and lead is essential to the success of the position.

o Both verbal and written communication skills must be sufficient to interact with customer representative s principal owners and leadership team members.
o Must be able to demonstrate confidence and willingness to speak to groups of 20 or more persons in varied positions of responsibility.
o Possess listening skills that provide others the confidence that they are actually being heard.
