SAP Development Manager  (SAP Enterprise 4.7)

Job Description:

Senior manager has the responsibility for managing all technical aspects relating to SAP R/3 Enterprise for Visioneer worldwide. Highly skilled, motivated, and hands-on manager with demonstrated and proven skills in design, development, testing, and implementation of the high quality enterprise commercial software through all phases of the development cycle. This is a senior level position -- the successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to mentor others as well as working with outside vendors. Must have the ability to contribute architectural wisdom to a variety of internal and external audiences, ability to view the business from a higher level than the individual pieces and proactively direct development efforts into strengthening and leveraging  the use of SAP throughout the companies business processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities would include but not limited to:

Manage SAP R/3 technical architecture and design.

Manage all the integration points for SAP and Business Objects Data Integrator.

Manage and develop best practices around the integration and deployment of SAP applications within existing architectures.

Manage  and enforce standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Interface with power users, business analysis, and write up functional requirement specifications.

Create ABAP/4 program or enhance existing programs to specifications.

Perform Testing/QA activities.

Responsible for the creation of  complete technical documentation.

Create detailed Business Process & Procedure.

Develop Creates and analyses metrics for process improvement.

Automation of internal and external maintenance, operations and administration processes through integration into third-party tools, scripting, and implementation of small applications.

Daily monitoring and tuning of Business Objects DI (business warehouse) applications.

Participation in after-hours on-call support, through a rotating duty schedule.

Performing upgrades, enhancements, and patches defined by the vendors. Technical issue identification, resolution, and status reporting. Determine root cause and potential solutions.

Required Skills:

?  5+ yrs.  experience with SAP workflow, integrating SAP portal components,

?  5+ yrs. experience with the following:  IDOCS,  BDC's, RFC's, BAPI's, Function Modules, and SAP Scripting or programming using  Smartforms.

?  5+ yrs.  experience in EDI-Idocs (configuration of EDI such as partner profiles, ports, logical systems, message types, message outputs for SD and FI, creation of new IDOCs a must).

?  5+ yrs.  experience in creating SAP custom reports, interfaces, Database objects, etc

?  5+ yrs. experience in SAPScripts or SmartForms for SD and FI.

?  3  yrs.  of experience with setting up the SAP portal environment, the business packages for ESS & MSS and with implementing standard ESS and MSS iViews.

?  3 yrs. experience with developing custom-made portal solutions to support standard SAP Enterprise Portal functionality, using technologies such BSP, WebDynpro and Javascript.

?  Experienced with setting up authentication and access control protocols and mechanisms, with specific reference to single sign-on.

?  Experienced with SAP queries and reporting and with web-enabling both R/3 and SAP BSP.

?  3-5 years of functional experience with the business processes and goals of using a web portal environment to expose data to employees and managers.

?  Project management, documentation and training skills.

?  Proficient in writing status reports and communicating status to management.

?  Experience with EAI tools such as Webmethods, Acta Tools, or Business Objects. 

?  Experienced in ALE and Data Distribution configuration

 Other Useful Skills:

?  Experience with the Netweaver technology stack and XML are a plus.

?  Strong communication skills & excellent teamwork behavior

?  Windows2000 or 2003  Server Environment

?  MS SQL-2000, Java Programming and Runtime Analysis
