SHIFT MANAGER/ENGINEER
An industry leading manufacturer located in southwest Ohio has immediate needs for engineers who will begin their careers as a Shift Manager.
Duties:
Shift Manager is a front-line supervisor working rotating shifts within a heavy manufacturing operation. Engineers begin their careers as front-line supervisors for typically 2-3 years before advancing to a variety of engineering positions supporting either equipment maintenance, process improvement, process automation, quality control, etc. pending satisfactory performance. Careers in engineering, operations management, quality or technical support are opportunities beyond first-line management.
The Shift Manager will be responsible for leading and directing the activities of 8-12 maintenance or production employees on a rotating shift basis. Shift Managers will also be accountable for meeting unit objectives involving safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements:
An engineering or technology degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials/Metallurgical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering is strongly preferred. Strong leadership skills, prior supervisory and/or manufacturing experience are strong pluses.
