SMT Operator

SMT Operator Description: We need your SMT experience for our growing organization.

Operate Surface Mount (SMT), Automated Insertion and other automated equipment. Performs set-up, operation, adjustments, minor maintenance, troubleshooting and cleaning of equipment and work area. Ensures that equipment and processes remain within acceptable parameters through quality audits, testing and troubleshooting. Keeps necessary logs and records.

Requirements:
High school education or general education degree (GED); and experience in performing the duties listed above - or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Requires experience in the operation of all or some of the following machines: Fuji SMT, MPM Printers, Universal through-hole auto-insertion and Quad, including set-up, troubleshooting and use of related manufacturing documentation.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, assembly instructions, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions and other standard electronics manufacturing documentation. Ability to write routine reports and communicate other information in writing.

* Experience with SMT rework, hand soldering, and advanced troubleshooting a plus.

* Upon completion of initial orientation, expected to be self-directed and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment, while maintaining positive work relationships with individuals inside and external to the organization.

* Physical requirements include ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive activities. May occasionally be required to lift up to 35 lbs without the aid of mechanical devices. Visual requirements include ability to discern colors, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
