Safety Supervisor

We are seeking a Safety Supervisor to join our team in Memphis, Tn.?

Responsibilities include planning, organizing and controlling safety/hygiene programs at the Reusable Plastic Container plant in Memphis.? Hygiene requirements include training, data input, trend analysis, inspections, reporting, documenting, employee incentives, inspections and follow up.? Establish programs and policies to eliminate hazards to achieve a zero OSHA incident rate.? Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, Corporate, and Divisional Safety.? Job also includes policy writing, OSHA compliance, noise and air quality surveys, and environmental compliance.? Looking for someone with hands-on experience who is not averse to dealing with the day-to-day issues on the plant floor.

BS or equivalent in business, technical or safety related field is required.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety/hygiene requirements; able to develop good working relations with employees at all levels; able to plan organize and control safety/hygiene related programs at the plant level.

Verbal and written communications skills; business savvy; detail oriented; sense of urgency; self-motivated; creative and innovative and strong leadership skills.
