Safety Supervisor--Second Shift

We are working with a client who is the "leader" in it's industry. They are a company with a positive reputation in their community. The client is placing a MAJOR emphasis on Plant and Employee Safety. We are assisting them in their search for a Plant Safety Supervisor for teh Second Shift.  The hours could be fairly flexible such as 1PM to 11PM or 2PM to Midnight, etc..  We are looking for a "doer." The successful candidate must be a "take charge" type of person who can work well with groups and assume a "leader/facilitator" type role. This person needs to be a self-directed person, not someone who needs to be led.  Must have proven experience in heavy manufacturing safety issues. We are NOT looking for someone who has spent their career in a chemical process, consultant, "corporate" or related environment--MANUFACTURING is a MUST. We need a "hands-on, roll up your sleeves" Safety Manager.  If candidates come from a CASTING or FOUNDRY environment it would be a plus.  Experience in Safety training would be a plus.  Candidates must be degreed (a degree in Safety or related would be a plus.) Candidates should have approximately 3 to 5 years of proven professionalism in the Safety field. any exposure to "Dupont's" safety program would be a plus.
