Sales Manager/Purchasing Manager-GREAT COMPANY

Qualifications:

Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of related work experience.

Previous experience working for a Japanese company a plus.

Experience in the Automotive industry preferred.

Should have some experience in customer service, sales and purchasing.



Metal working experience a plus.

 

Responsibilities:

Will interact with Japanese OEM?s, Tier I customers and suppliers.

Estimating, quoting, tracking, and coordination of part information for major customer accounts.

Customer and internal communication.

Performs and manages sales activities of organization through the following duties (personally or thru subordinates):

-Represents the company to customers.

-Develops sales plans and reports performance to management.

-Create strong relationships between company and its customers.



Defines responsibilities and assignments of sales department team members.

Assessment of training needs of sales department team members and performance evaluations.

Receive, review and process inquiries from customers to include price, lead-times and quantities.

Negotiate with customer on annual price reduction activities.

Issue production orders for new products, ECI?s, and volumetric adjustments (increase/decrease).

Coordinates start-up of new programs and arranges involvement of appropriate departments until SOP.

Review of accounts receivables and take necessary action to ensure company goals are met.

Analyze sales performance and report to management.

Secure the outside supply flow to company under good quality, delivery, cost performance.

Promote cost down activities to maximize the profit.

Represents the company to suppliers.

Reviews market environment to formulate policy and to assist in determining direction

of company.

Performs/Manages purchasing activities of organization through the following duties (personally or through subordinate supervisors).

-Negotiate with suppliers on price, leadtime, quantity.  This negotiation can be based on regular monitoring of supplier performances on quality, delivery and cost.

-Approve and authorize purchase order. Instruct the necessary changes as needed

-Check new supplier eligibility.

-Within the purchasing department, direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop control purchasing program.
