Salvagnini Operator, CNC Sheetmetal Fabrication - 2nd Shift / Suwanee, GA

Shift: 2nd Shift (M-F, 3:45 - 12:30) exact shift times are subject to change



We are currently recruiting for 2nd shift operators and maintenance technicians for a product line expansion within our Suwanee, GA facility. In 2006, we are ramping up production for a 3 shift, state-of-the art metal forming operation, which will be manufacturing metal doors and door frames under Ingersoll Rand's Steelcraft brand. Our equipment for the new operation includes brand new Salvagnini cutting, bending, punching, and forming machines, which are some of the most technologically advanced precision metal forming equipment available in the world today.

Requirements:

High school or equivalent required. AS degree or advanced technical training/certifications a plus
Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and drawings
Knowledge of:
o CNC punch operations
o CNC programming
o Tooling
o CNC bending operations
o Bend allowance
Possess and demonstrate independent motivation to accomplish assigned tasks
Must be able to learn and understand a highly technical sheetmetal operation
Goal-oriented team player
Strong Mechanical aptitude
Must be able to work overtime as needed
PC experience required such that basic level of skill can be demonstrated in Microsoft Word and Excel
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must complete Salvagnini Training Course for Operators
Must be able to work overtime as needed (potentially some weekends, off-shifts, holidays, etc.)



Responsibilities:
Must understand and follow all safety requirements for operating equipment
Daily operation of the Salvagnini S4 P4 with minimal supervision
Perform daily maintenance, as required, on Salvagnini equipment with minimal supervision
Must assist maintenance department with repairs on equipment.
Will update Salvagnini log book as required
Will update Salvagnini help system database as needed
Write basic programs for parts as needed
Complete maintenance request forms
Solve and Work through basic computer errors quickly and efficiently
Solve and work through system errors quickly and efficiently.
Support Lean Initiatives through 5S, LDMS, ACP's, etc.
Install, Maintain, calibrate and repair the fabrication equipment.
Perform any duties assigned to keep production rate and meet production schedule.
Ensure timely and effective communication and coordination with all other departments within the company, and its divisions.
Must be willing to cross-train other employees
Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Capabilities Based on Daily Work Schedule of 5 day work week, 8 hour shift:

Sitting, Crawling, Squatting and Bending: Occasionally
Standing, Twisting, Walking and Lifting/Carry 30lbs: Frequently
Climbing Up to 30 Feet, Reaching Frequently
Range of Motion Full range in arms, legs Push/Pull (lbs., frequency) 50 lbs. Occasionally
